Books by local authors are also available, as well as some unusual antique volumes of interest to collectors. The Museum’s own, Are There Whales in Whaletown? makes a great interactive stocking stuffer for kids and parents who love to explore Cortes. Newly available, as well, is Jeanette Taylor's Tidal Passages, A History of the Discovery Islands which includes some of Cortes' lively history.
