2010 CORTES ISLAND MUSEUM TRIPS
WITH MISTY ISLES ADVENTURES


May 15th (Sat.) and June 5th (Sat.): Mitlenatch Island. Day trip departs Cortes Bay 10:30am, returns about 5pm for ferry shuttle. Price: $105
June 20th (Sun.): Laughing Oyster Solstice and Fathers’ Day Dinner Cruise to Okeover Inlet. Leaves Cortes Bay 3pm, returns about 10:30pm. Participants will need to have accommodation that night on Cortes. Cruise price: $85, dinner extra.
June 26th/27th (Sat./Sun.): Overnight to Toba Inlet Waterfalls. Leaves Cortes Bay 10:30am, returns about 5pm next day for ferry shuttle. All meals provided with an overnight stay at Wildernest Lodge. Price: $320. Camping option price: $295 with your own camping equipment.
July 8th (Thurs.): Von Donop Inlet Mothership Kayaking. A New Day Trip!! Leaves Whaletown 10am with kayaks loaded aboard Misty Isles. Anchor by noon in Von Donop Inlet, launch kayaks and paddle until 2:45pm. Return to Whaletown by 5:30pm for ferry shuttle. Beginner kayakers welcome. Price: $135
July 29th (Thurs.): ‘Round Maurelle Island. Day trip leaves Whaletown 10am to catch rapids at slack tide, returns about 5:30pm for ferry shuttle. Price: $115
Aug. 13th (Fri.) and Aug. 27th (Fri.): Desolation Sound. These day trips both depart Cortes Bay 10:30am, returning about 5pm for ferry shuttle. Price: $115

For off islanders participating, you will need to catch the 8:30am ferry from Campbell River, drive across Quadra Island, leave your car at Heriot Bay and walk onto the connecting Cortes Island ferry. For all trips a shuttle is available (except the return on June 20th) from the ferry in Whaletown to the dock for MISTY ISLES and then back to catch the last ferry off Cortes.

For day trips please dress for the weather and bring your own lunch. Tea and cookies are provided aboard MISTY ISLES. Bring your binoculars, camera, sunscreen and hat. A change of shoes is also recommended.

Skipper/naturalist Mike Moore will share his wealth of knowledge about marine and terrestrial wildlife and local plants. Mike can regale you with stories of Native First Nations, early explorers and homesteaders in this area.
